The action takes place at the official levels (PEI, Washington, Yukon) or custom locations. It is possible to build a dwelling and grow food on its territory. In addition to travel and skirmishes, there is crafting and construction. Cars require fuel and can explode if hit properly. It is allowed to add upgrades to the barrels: a laser designator, an enlarged clip, an optical sight, a silencer, a flashlight. Firearms are represented by a colt, shotgun, AK-47, screw cutter, double-barrelled gun, bow, M4, crossbow, and other weapons. In close combat, katanas, bats, axes, chainsaws and golf clubs are used. You can become a hero by shooting criminals.
Players who kill other players for no reason become bandits. There is also a separate Battle Royale mode. In multiplayer, the user does about the same thing, but also fights with live opponents. In the single, the user explores places, destroys the undead and searches for useful loot. In-app purchases do not actually affect the gameplay, but due to the cosmetic system, plenty of items (clothing and weapon skins) are purchasable or available in crates.Untwisted combines zombie shooter and sandbox with survival elements. The gameplay stands for the wider opportunity of customization of pretty much everything in the in-game world, starting with simple object destruction and following to guns modification and shelters construction. Since land, air and sea vehicles are available, players can choose the most suitable transport to explore the entire map. Survivors meet thirst, hunger, disease, injures, zombie bites, and other hostile players looking for safety. Playing for one of the few people not yet turned into a zombie, you should stay aware of various natural or unnatural dangers, gather required resources, and make your way through the tough survival.
The story begins in the random location of the chosen map and lasts till the death. The main action takes place on 6 different maps (Prince Edward Island, Yukon, Washington, Germany and Russia) flooded with zombies. Unturned is a low-poly survival game providing single or multiplayer experience.
